Location Scouting

1) Where can you get to readily by foot, train, car or bus?

As I live in a small village it is virtually impossible to get anywhere by foot, so car or a train would be the best options. I can reach Stansted, Bishops Stortford, Newport, Saffron Walden by car (driven by parents) quite easily. I can also get to cambridge by train quite easily as well. I have asked my parents and they seem fine about helping me with transport and travel wherever the location(s) for our coursework is going to be (within reason).

2) Are your parents willing to let you film at your house? What alterations can be made/tolerated?

I have told my parents about the requirements for our coursework and what it would entail. They seem happy to let us film in the house and pretty they will move furniture if needed and we can us lamps if needed as well. Overall, they seemed okay with the idea and would do anything to help really.

3)Where are the atmospheric places in your local area?

There is a farmtrack nearby that could be used (with permission) and it has fields that could be used to run through (like a chase scene) and at night time it has a eerie effect. Also, this set would be plenty big enough to accomodate a camera crew with all the equipment.

4) Sources of power/lighting?

Obviously if we go a certain distance away from the house, battery power will be required for the camera equipment. Natural lighting is not the only lighting that could be used, I have some powerful torches that could be used to create interesting lighting effects. Also, lamps are another source of lighting that could be used, the lamp could be altered to create different effects in the film such as: dimmed lighting or shadowy effects.
